Noisy Z when head is near print plate

My Z makes a squawking noise when it is nearing the lower elevation near the bottom.  I have traced it to the lead screw rubbing on the bottom end.    If you turn the screw manually it squawks but if you push a bit on the lead screw in a certain direction on the bottom the noise goes away?

I looked for a drawing to see how that is built down there but suspect it is simply dangling in a hole.  Perhaps there is some filament that fell in and making it rub?

Any ideas or experience in this regard would be appreciated.  I am convinced it is not the drive but a rub at the bottom of the lead screw shaft.

Take a look at the information in the following post: z-rod-screw-grinding. In my case I did not have to re-adjust the Z-rod screw; a small lube job did the trick, but to others the re-adjustment of the z-rod screw was necessary.

Thanks @languer - that's got to be the root cause of the issue.   Interesting that it started after numerous prints.  I am going to check to be sure the screws are tight on the trap nut and may adjust it if needed.  Otherwise some lube on the end of the screw should suffice.

Thanks again for the post, very helpful and much appreciated.

Mine started after about 2m of printing. I think some of the other stories are similar. The credit really goes to @3dprintedgr and the other contributors to that thread.
