No new firmware since Dec 2021?

Team,
When looking at the Prusa Mini+ firmware release notes I noticed that until December 2021 there were updates every month
Since then there has been no update.
Will we see any enhancements for this platform? Is there a roadmap?
(I would love to see the ability to upload gcode files through the web interface)

They are definitely working on it. See github:

I think this is an extensive change, so they have not released recently. There are changes in github only hours old.

Regards,

Mark

Take a look at the recent pull requests. There is a lot of work going on, Web GUI, WiFi, the annoying sound when loading filament and the Z axis hits the top, etc.

I read the 4.0.0 documentation but I am not sure if I checked it correctly...

Do I need this FW only for the extended WIFI possibilities (which I in fact do not need)
OR
do I need it also for the much better PrusaLink capapilities (makes Octoprint obsolte) .. about which I would be very happy.

Many thanks for a short note

I'll give you my take on it so far. You don't NEED it. You NEED oxygen, food, water and shelter. You might want it because it does add the ability to remotely send files to print, both over WiFi or wired Ethernet. It's still pretty basic. I wouldn't say it makes Octoprint obsolete. It might replace it for many as it does enough.

Mark

Thanks for the info and in addition for a small English lesson about the usage from "need" and "want" (;-).  I will wait until 4.0 will officially be lauchned.
