Mini Stops printing

I recently installed a new nozzle, ran my first layer calibration and it completed very successfully.

After this, I moved onto print a Prusa sample file, the classic "Prusa" name plate. Im using the Prusament Galaxy black with an E3D Nozzle X at 0.4mm. During the slower prints I cant the layers and walls that it should print. When it moves to the faster motion parts such as the 2nd layer where it does print as smooth as bottom but still smooth I can nothing...…. It turns the first couple blobs into a wool like material and then just stops all together.  I've been needing to get this working for some time and there seems to be no explanation as to why.

My nozzle couldn't be clogged, my extruder works, all other motors work. I have regressed all of my bearings, tightened my Y axis belt. Attempt to readjust my idle tensioner arm with no luck. The extruders gears are all cleaned, I fully disassembled the box and inspect the bearings and slave gear with no issues in sight.

Hello and welcome to the Prusaforum!

I would first try increasing the nozzle temperature incrementally by 5deg.

Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.

RE: Mini Stops printing

that might be due to the problem with PTFE tube inside of the heatbreak or heatbreak not properly installed, which causes clogs. Not sure you you touch it but there is a possibility that you moved it a bit while replacing nozzle.

The idea is that heatblock has to be 4.8mm from heatsink. if it is not 4.8mm PTFE tube might not be positioned properly inside and that causes clogs.

BTW in my case because of this misalignment I damaged PTFE tube and had to replace it.

Also if you are replacing PTFE tube please make sure heatbreak is clear from filament as if there are some leftovers new PTFE tube won't be properly positioned and you will have the same issue. Check this before and after for reference: https://twitter.com/IhorBats/status/1354988404644188160
