Mini+ Hotend temperature problem finally solved

Since I received my factory assembled Mini+ late last year, have always had an issue printing (especially non-Prusament PLA) unless I cranked the temperature up to the max suggested by the filament manufacturer or even 10+C more than that.  If I didn't do this, the nozzle would begin to clog during the first layer and eventually printing would stop, extruder would start clicking; downhill from there.  Running at a much hotter hotend temp always did the trick - have 100s of beautiful prints.  Prusament PLA seemed to be a bit more forgiving at lower temps but prints done with "standard" temps in prusaslicer always showed classic under extrusion/no extrusion issues.  Chats with support took a variety of paths that didn't fix the problem so I resigned myself to always running the machine "hot".

Fast forward 5 months, I took the machine apart and replaced the hotend thermistor and viola, I can now print at standard temperatures.  In previous chats, support didn't think this was the problem because at room temp both the hotend and bed temps read the same.  I theorize that at higher temps, the old hotend thermistor was not accurate.  Prusa kindly gave me credit for the part.  All is good!

I was able to validate the fix using a small K type thermocouple connected to multimeter.  Put a little silicone grease on probe and put it between silicone hot end cover and nozzle.  Applied light pressure with a wooden dowel.  Measurements were within o.5C.
