Loading too much filament to hot end

I purchased the original Prusa screen and buddy board for the clone mini+. The issue I am having is that when loading filament from the extruder motor to the hot end, It shoots out like 3 or 4 foot of filament. Is there a way to calibrate the amount the extruder pushes out? Only other thing I can think of is to replace the extruder motor with the original Prusa motor .

Thank you very much, Marry Christman!!

For he start please see https://help.prusa3d.com/article/experimental-settings-mk4-s-mk3-9-s-mk3-5-s-xl-mini_264396

and

Also worth to look at official docs from Bondtech extruder and how they suggest changing settings.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.
