Knob starting to miss steps after 14 months?
I received my Prusa mini in December of 2019. I go in spurts when I print, and overall I have been happy with it. I don't use the knob frequently, and mostly print over Octo Print. I only use the knob when I need to load/unload filament, and/or change the sheet out from textured PEI to smooth, etc
I recently noticed when I turned the knob, sometimes it misses steps on the menu. For example, I went to tune the temperature on a print and accidently hit "Change Filament" because it didn't scroll down (which was quite annoying, as it stops the print, parks the head, and starts unloading filament). Anyway, I have not noticed this until recently. It is a fairly minor annoyance at this point, but I'm concerned it may get worse. There doesn't seem to be any extra resistance on the knob, and the 3d printed knob itself still looks brand new. So I am confident it is an issue with the electronics.
From reading this forum it seems like this may have been a common thing especially for the early orders, but unluckily for me it is just now happening a few months after the warranty is up. Is my best bet to just order a replacement LCD? Since it is over a year I am sure there is no warranty. I looked in the shop and it's crazy that the screen is $55 + shipping! When you can buy a 12864 board for $15 on Amazon. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions I'd appreciate it.

I have the same issue except my knob is also ignoring like every 4th pressing. Started cca in September once a while and is getting more often visible. I have to press with weight on upper side of the knob, otherwise it will not recognize the pressing. Now is like every third pressing good, the others are bad.
Mine printer was delivered on June/2020

Make sure the switches are clean - give them a blast of Switch Cleaner / Contact Cleaner.
Traditionally you can clean contacts with liquid solvents, inc IPA and acetone but these are small so a fine aerosol jet is much easier to use.
This may be enough unless there is physical damage or wear.
Most Prusa warranties are for two years.

@diem
Sorry, but I have it half a year and I already would have to fix something, that is not really issue of printing but of a bad component, and is non-printable. I am trying to NOT disassembly the printer cause it works good. I also do not have there any modifications done on the LCD or around it (use USB extension but not mounted to LCD).
If I remember correctly, there was a year ago (march-april/2020) an issue with the knob, that mine should probably not have.

Switch cleaning is more maintenance than repair; many problems on consumer electronics are caused by dirty switches.
If that doesn't work log into your Prusa shop account and contact support via the chat. Your printer is still in warranty.
