How long do you Pre heat for MINDA
Just wondering how long you guys are preheating your MINDA for? Also do you preheat it at certain position x, y,z or preheat it at the home position (G28)?

RE: How long do you Pre heat for MINDA
This is the start G-code that works for me, 80 seconds in the middle of the bed:
G90 ; use absolute coordinates
M83 ; extruder relative mode
;added for better Z axis control
G28 ; home all
G1 X100 Y100 F4000
G1 Z1.5 F50 ; park position
;end of added section
M104 S170 ; set extruder temp for bed leveling
M140 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; set bed temp
M109 R170 ; wait for bed leveling temp
M190 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; wait for bed temp
;added
G4 S80; wait 80 secs when heated up
;end of added section
G28 ; home all without mesh bed level
G29 ; mesh bed leveling
M104 S[first_layer_temperature] ; set extruder temp
G92 E0.0
G1 Y-2.0 X179 F2400
G1 Z3 F720
M109 S[first_layer_temperature] ; wait for extruder temp
; intro line
G1 X170 F1000
G1 Z0.2 F720
G1 X110.0 E8.0 F900
G1 X40.0 E10.0 F700
G92 E0.0
M221 S95 ; set flow
I've seen some using a longer preheat. I'm thinking that the MINDAs vary in temperature sensitivity. Some don't need a heat up at all. Some need a longer heat up. For some, this does not work no matter how long they preheat.
Regards,
Mark

I used to for around 80 seconds, but now I print from printer cooled down instead, and get pretty consistent results.

I've made a note of the cold and hot live Z value. It works pretty good most of the time.
