Help, Inconsistent extrusion

Everything has been working fine for ages then I started getting this. I don't even know what to call it. It's like the extrusion slowly goes from too high to too low every few lines.

I have tried innumerable cold pulls and cleaned out the extruder pully.

Anyone have any advice on what next to try to fix this?

RE: Help, Inconsistent extrusion

you might have a partial clog because of PTFE tube in a heatbreak, I described steps that helped me to fix it here https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/hardware-firmware-and-software-help/extruder-cogs-clogging-up-and-not-extruding-the-filament/#post-360451

RE: Help, Inconsistent extrusion

Thanks for pointing me in what turned out to be the area that was causing issues @ibats . The heatbreak.

Turns out my heatbreak had ended up not screwed far enough into the heaterblock. This in turn meant the nozzle when screwed all the way in was tight against the heaterblock instead of the heatbreak.

So for anyone in the future the fix for me was following this guide to disassemble and reassemble the hotend https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/how-to-replace-a-heaterblock-heatbreak-mini-mini_122769 . Paying particular attention to step 13 making sure the nozzle gap from the heatblock was correct and the heatbreak was screwed all the way into meet the nozzle.
