first layer calibration question/issue
When doing a first layer calibration, I am trying to get an even “squish” of the filament across the calibration. But every time I run the test the single lines look like they are barely squished but the final square looks like there is a good squish.
What should I trust, the lines or the square?
Anyone else see this issue?
I did a quick test and it appears as though the left side of the bed is slightly higher than the right. Shouldn’t the automatic mesh bed leveling compensate for this difference in height?
I have attached some pictures for reference.

Thanks

RE: first layer calibration question/issue

So I did another print last night and am getting confused by the first layer results. In a lot of areas it looks like the nozzle is too low and pushing the material. this seems to create a ripple effect in the first layer and pulls up the material on the back side. But in some areas it looks like the nozzle is not low enough and is leaving some gaps in the first layer.

Is there anything under your build plate, on top of your heatbed?
