Firmware Suggestion - Printing layer vs Total Layers

Hello All,

Is this a good place for potential firmware upgrades? I'll be honest, I'm horribly impatient but often get mesmerized by the printer as its going. Is there a way, in future firmware upgrades, to show the current printing layer vs the total number of layers? The time of print relative to when its actually done is all but spot on every time but I am always curious which layer it is working on.

Maybe I'm the oddball here 🙂

This is not the right place for firmware requests. Some say Prusa doesn't really monitor this forum, which I kinda doubt... I just think Prusa staff doesn't actively participate here.
So, try to Google for "Prusa Mini firmware request GitHub".

if the current FW should support M117 you could in principle also do this with the slicer software:

M117 [layer_num]

gcode:

;BEFORE_LAYER_CHANGE
;0.8
M117 3
G1 Z0.800 F7800.000.........

wbr,

Karl
