Filament Sensor: Continuing to print after filament runs out.
My Prusa Mini+ printers continue to print (in thin air) after the filament runs out, even. though I have the optional filament sensors.
I know the filament sensors are working, since when I load the filament it does sense the lack of filament and then prompts me to insert it...and then senses that the filament has been inserted.
It's quite frustrating that the Mini+ continues to print even though the filament has run out (long past the sensor.) This means I need to open up the Bowden tube to get the last tail of the remaining filament.
Is this a bug/mis-feature/bad-implementation or is there some other option or setting that I need to enable?
I would like the printer to pause or stop when it runs out of filament, and then the unload feature should be able to push-back the filament to make replacement easy.

Are you using Octoprint? Known issue documented on their github site, that the sensor is unable to send an out-of-filament signal back to the raspi.

Thanks for sharing this information, it is helpful.
On things like this, the information exists somewhere, but knowing where is often the challenge.
Seems like Prusa could have handled this entirely within the printer: Stop printing, pause, and wait for a filament change to happen. Or else, just stop printing anytime there is no filament. Seems logical.

I'm not an expert on this topic but I suspect the pi would just keep sending code while the printer is doing its filament swap dance.
