Common replacement parts that should be printed?
Hi all,
I've seen that Prusa gives away their STL files for the parts of the Prusa Mini plus here: https://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/
This might be a stupid question, but what are the parts that one should always have a spare of at to not be in a situation where you are waiting for the replacement. I mean, there are probably some parts that are more prone to brake than others, no? I'm guessing that there is no need to print the screen case (unless if you are clumsy or you want to personalize it), but I'm guessing some other parts are always good to have lying around.
This is my first 3D printer and I still am trying to get familiar with the 3D printing world 😊

#1 for me is the fan Shroud.

I didn't print any yet and I have in few days 1 year with Mini.
If you have a friend, who has also a 3D printer, I would not care much about it. Even on FB groups you could find someone who would print it near your location.

you should not use fakebook for that there is a beautiful function on the https://www.prusaprinters.org/world page just for that.

I had completely forgotten about this platform even though I have registered on it…
Thanks for the inputs, if anyone has suggestions please do still post them as the community close around my house isn’t very dense yet.

@oxygen
Point was, that there are many ways to ask someone or somewhere to print a specific part, if it get broken. And it doesn't have to be printer by Prusa printer as regional groups in FB are more active to help and in count.

@john-doe-3
I understood the idea 😉
Fact is I live in Switzerland and people aren’t as open as in other countries (generally speaking). So if you look on the map there are quite some Prusa printers around, but many aren’t willing to print on demand for example. And going to a shop to have one piece printed might cost more than ordering it online 😆

Danielle,
Some will print them all. That is a lot of wasted plastic.
I gave you my vote above and went back to check my log. I have 4 minis and I have only replaced the fan shrouds.
I did print a very useful filament sensor holder if you and interested in a Mod. It does not alter the printer function but it holds the sensor in a more convenient location.
