Clicking noise
Hello,
I have a mini prusa which I bought assembled from Prusa. I have always had this clicking noise when Z retracts. Its been like this from the first print, but now it kinda drives me crazy. is it supposed to click like this? The prints are turning out great. No clogging or filament being grined at all.
If it prints,
I would not worry about it as long as it is working.

No, there should be no regular clicking. Besides being very annoying to listen to, it's a sign that something is not right, even if prints are good (for now). Every click means, printer wanted to push (or pull) the filament, but didn't succeed on that.
There can be many reasons causing that to happen and you might find a solution, if you check some posts in this forum.

RE: Clicking noise
It's due to a tiny bit of space between the teeth on the gears. I have the same issue & have just grown to tune it out, but I wish there was a better solution. You'd have to machine them perfectly & space them apart from one another just right.
