Catastrophic problem with Mini+. What all do I replace?
While I was out, my printer had a major problem. I came home to a ball of PETG on the hot end.
I heated the printer to 260, let it melt a little, and tried to work the filament ball off. It was almost off, but I heard the fan start to slow, and then the printer powered itself off.
I think I need a new hot end -- https://www.prusa3d.com/product/assembled-hotend-mini/ and the doc to follow to install it -- https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/how-to-replace-a-hotend-heater-mini-mini_155068
However I notice the printer still won't power on.
My questions:
* is the above the recommended course of action?
* did I do something to the power supply or maybe blow a fuse or something, such that the printer won't power on at all right now? Is there a way to check the power supply, etc?
* any other suggestions?
Thank you very much in advance.
RE: Catastrophic problem with Mini+. What all do I replace?
The power supply is equipped with self-recovering fuses.
After a few minutes of cooling down the power supply, it usually works again.
Furthermore, the Buddy (controller) board is equipped with two fuses of 3 and 7.5 Ampere.
Check that these are not broken.
In this case it is useful if you have a simple multi-meter.
