Black powder on gear box
I noticed several times a fine black powder when cleaning the extruder motor. What do you think ?

It could be material been grinded over time

Your gear is too tight. Just reassemble again and make sure not too tight. Just light touch each other.

I found the same on my machine, extruder was also very loud during retraction (and high speed in general). The geras were worn so it is probably material from gears. Swapped with new one and used a little lubricant. I guess there is no quick easy fix if it comes to this state (until you have spare parts in shelf like I did).
