Bed Leveling Crashes into Plate on Point 14
Hello everyone,
Apologies if this has been posted before. I scoured the forms and the Internet and I have not seen anything.
I’m having a consistent issue where the mini “fails” on point 14. I have tried a number of things to get it to work, but it is not working. It is important to know that the sensor is working correctly and it can sense the bed at point 14 it just chooses to ignore that and go on anyways.
- I tried recalibrating and changing everything up. I moved the PINDA sensor and recalibrated. That did not help.
- I replaced the PINDA sensor, that did not help.
- I changed the head, that didn’t work though my filament is coming through smoother now.
- I tried a different build plate - that didn’t work.
- I did a hard reset. That didn’t work.
- I tried a hard reset with an older firmware. That didn’t work.
- I tried a hard reset with an older firmware in Japanese. Fun. But did not work.
I did talk to support and they are sending a new sensor and build plate - but I don’t think that’s the issue.
Every once in a while when I start a print, it will go through. It will pass along the test as if nothing has happened. Sometimes it passes point 14 and fails on 16.
See attached (don’t judge):
The sensor clearly knows it is seeing metal and yet it just chooses to ruin the build plate.
Any thoughts on something else to try?

Hello - as an update nothing has changed. I’ve borrowed some spare parts, tried new plates, but I get the same results. Once in a while the test will pass, but I haven’t changed anything.
If I come across something new I will let you good people know.
