Pausing Print on Octoprint does not stop heating safety feature on Prusa I3 Mk3s
Hello!
Ever since I've used Octoprint to print things on my Prusa I3, I've always been disappointed when I had to throw away a paused print that could have been recovered if I wasn't using Octoprint. My problem is that when I go to pause a print on Octoprint, it runs the conventional M601, but this command does not override the Heated Bed safety feature like it would on the stock GUI. I was wondering if anyone knows any plugins or settings that can be added to octoprint so that prints can be successfully paused without the heated bed warning coming on after 20min and disabling all heating elements.

I do not think so because that could be a safety override. I looked and could not find one. I have been using OctoPrint for 5 years and have 17 printers using it.
I think the error code come from the printer as a safety feature so you might have to edit the firmware. I still would not recommend it. A burned down house is more expensive that hundreds of rolls of filament.
If I am incorrect, I hope someone else will chime in.

Ahh, that true! I was thinking there was a special g-code command that is used through the prusa interface. You're right, one of the main reasons that I bought this machine was to have these safety features, I just wanted to see if there was a specific command that would "talk to the printer" so that it knew it was on pause.
