New Einsy - first firmware install requirements
Seriously stupid question.
When purchasing a new/replacement Einsy from a third party, what steps are required to make it understand the Prusa Slicer firmware updater?
This is a theoretical question, I don't have hardware here to try it.
RE: New Einsy - first firmware install requirements
I don't know that I understand. Every generic Einsy I own has worked. This includes the Chinese knock-offs.

I'm taking the answer to be "none", as in "any Enisy should work with no special work".

RE: New Einsy - first firmware install requirements
The bottom line is the generic Einsys work. I have one with a Chinese knockoff and one from Ultimaker. The firmware installed worked. No special effort needed to firmware update or get them to work with Prusa.
Personally, if I could wait, I would just order them from Prusa. I like having support. I needed one quickly and could get it in 24 hours (Ultimaker) and the other was free.
