Is it possible to manually infill hollowed-out models?

Cross posting from reddit:
For an example, I have a cylinder, and the cross section has a middle bar end to end (like a no-entry sign profile). The slicer recognizes the inner shape, but I can't seem to infill those spots. Is there any way to do this?

I don't really intend to infill the space, but it kinda bothers me I don't have the option to.

Please save your project as a .3mf file

Files > Save Project as

Zip the .3mf and post it here. It will contain both your part and your settings for us to diagnose.

Cheerio,

It depends how model was created, in some cases some simple holes can be filled with Add Part > Cylinder or other simple object/shape and move/scale it so it is inside the desired location. It has some drawbacks like 'printing infill twice' so better be very precise in what you are doing. Not great, not terrible.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

For this particular example change the slicing mode to close holes.

Print Settings>Advanced>Slicing>Slicing Mode.  That will fill in all holes when slicing.  In practice it has limited uses but for your example it would give you a solid cylinder.

@sonny-nguyen

There's no hack. There's just settings and hierarchy, and you have to learn how to use them.

I'm glad you found info that helped you, however in the future if you do as @Diem suggested, you may find answers easier to come by.

Regards
