Prusa connect with fysetc clone
Hi all
i tried to connect a clone with a pi 0 2 w but it seems doesnt work ^^
can someone confirm ?

Hi, clones are not officially supported, we assumed they'd just work. You can send the logs or symptoms of what went wrong, so we know if it's something easy to fix, or if it's inherent to clones. Thanks

just for information i have 5 official MK3S and everything work fine
first i updated the firmware on the clone with the last version
i put the PI zero i had an IP adress on the screen
when i put the adress onb my computer message on prusalink web page was " you dont have the latest firmware"
no matter...
i'll upgrade my printer for the second time, but actually no IP adress on the screen, i tried with another PI zero and another SD card, and in two case no IP adress on the screen
but... with Fings i have IP adress for the prusa clone, i put this adress on my browser and on the Prusa connect Webpage asked me the serial number ^^ i dont have one for this one because its a clone haha ^^ i tried with the serial number from my MK3S with MMu (without PI zero) and on the prusa link web^page i had error 500 please try later

Okay, the 500 is a well known bug, it will get fixed in 0.7.0, it seems like it would have worked. Nice. There is a way to get past it but I expect you're in no rush getting it working right now, it's kind of a paint going through for a printer that has no SN of its own. I don't know how much can I share regarding our plans for clones just yet, but you are the first one I've seen trying to connect a clone, so the feedback is and will be appreciated. Thank you 🙂

Has this been resolved? I just setup one of my clone printers with the pi zero2w and its asking for a serial number from what I read the firmware can now generate a fake serial number but when I press that option nothing happens. I am running firmware 3.14 MK3s.

I've also got a Fysetc clone that I attached a Pi Zero W to. After clicking "Fake serial number" in the experimental menu, I'm still left with the Prusa Link wizard asking for me to provide a serial number. Am I missing something I should be doing after I click "Fake serial number"? Are clones not permitted on Prusa Connect at all?
