Prusa Connect/Prusa Link without internet
Hello everyone
I am working at a University. Currently, we have 7 Prusa MK3S+ and 3 Prusa MINI+ in use. We plan to upgrade every printer with Prusa Link and connect them with Prusa Connect (only MK3S+). We have very strict Networking guidlines at the University. Therefore i got following questions:
Does Prusa Link need connection to the internet?
Does Prusa Connect work if Prusa Link is not connect to the ineternet? Computer is in same network, but it does has internet.

Hi, the situation is a little complicated.
First the easy stuff. PrusaLink will run even without internet connection, but it will not be able to access PrusaConnect.
It is possible to run PrusaConnect locally, but that is not ready yet. When it is, the university would probably have to sign some papers you would be deploying connect on your local server. But I am not aware how exactly will this be set up, how much is the cost and so on

Bummer, due to hurricane Helene I'm without internet for several more weeks...

Is there any update on the self-hosted connect implementation? We’d really like to roll out Connect in our makerspace, but members have concerns about data on third party servers.
