Number of impressions

Being able to give the order to print a part model directly in x copy would be much better than having to click several times on duplicate in Print queue

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the queue in prusa connect and not about instances in prusa slicer.

But yeah if you have multiple identical print to send to multiple printer, this is a lot of clicking. It could be nice to have a way to enter a number of duplicate when you actually click on duplicate.

OK, as above then save the modified print and send that to the printer(s).

Yes, if I want to print 50 pieces and there are 10 per tray I need 5 in the painted tail

Hi, I would like to know more about your use case. How many copies of models are you printing? How you keep track of successful prints?

I don't quite understand your question

I'm just saying that it would be nice to be able to put for example 10 x the same print in the print queue

For your question: How do you keep track of successful prints? from Prusa connect

RE: Number of impressions

So, we are unsure of what to do if a print fails, should we add it back to the queue, or just let you do that manually. Of course then there is the fact that the print can fail just partially and there is no good way to deal with that with our current tech. (No implications intended)
A am personally leaning towards the manual solution.

We also have to have a limit on the number of copies as the current technical solution is not built with tens of thousands planned jobs in mind.
We'd like to hear about your use case, how do you track orders, pair parts to orders and so on (if applicalble). We have some partners that provide us with feedback and we have our own print farm, but everyone needs something a little different. Making new features takes effort and it really helps knowing there are people who will appreciate the result afterwards 😉

I think the partial solution is the best too

On the other hand, if I have 10 or 20 prints to put in the print queue, it would be nicer to be able to give a number rather than duplicate 10 or 20 times

I would like to know the stock of filament still available according to the orders in print queue and the management of the quantity of finished parts with validation if the parts are good or not before restarting the printer would be good, with the implementation of a program of maintenance greasing etc every x hours of operation could be interesting, because the number of hour and filament used, is not readable on prusa connect for the moment

RE: Number of impressions

The maintenance interval is a known requested feature, I can start sending that data today, but no agreement has been reached on which format to send them in, so it's waiting :/

I'll pass it along to the rest of the team. Thanks 🙂
