(MK3S+/Earlier) Option to enable camera stream based on Pi model?

I have a Pi 02W that is connected to my MK3S+ via OctoPi using the serial pins on the back of the Einsy board. After a while of using it, I thought I should check in to see how Prusa's solution is doing.

Not to say I expected it to instantaneously rival the OctoPi project, but there is one sore point for me: Lack of a live camera stream. This is an glaring oversight especially because it's possible to query an RPi board for the model type, and then base features depending on the board type.

Long story short, the 02W is more than capable of handling a camera stream concurrently with print direction, and so is every other Pi type with the exception of the older models (Pi2/CM1/Zero). Is it not possible to force a live camera stream in the current distribution (0.7.2)?

Bonus question: That extra OTG port on Pi 02W could be used for USB storage devices or for an Ethernet dongle, both at USB 2.0 speeds. Does PrusaLink have support for either?

Hi, yes. The RPIOW2 is capable. However the development time for me would be too much at this point. So that won't get done for the rpi. At least not by me.
I have seen two very simple pull requests to the project. That makes it less than one per year. If anyone wants to take a crack at implementing that. The repos are on github. I would be happy to see and review them

PrusaLink image is just linux. An Ethernet dongle will work. There is a chance you can get a flashdrive to work too, but don't expect hotplug to work. I tried implementing that once, but it didn't make the cut
