Home automation notifications support? Alexa/Google/Apple
Any thoughts on Alexa/Google Home/Apple Homekit support? I would love to see triggers that can be used for home automations, like having Alexa announce print is done or preheat is ready. Maybe even voice commands to stop a printer.

Hi, there will be web hooks and probably some other ways to allow the creation of those by the community, we are not planning anything regarding home automation. If you want to use your farm as a smart thermostat, you're more than welcome to create it 😉 Also send us a video of it working when done 😀

MQTT would be awesome

At this time in the development of this software that would be ridiculous. please try to control yourselves and be realistic.

An idea would be to have something trigger when a print is done, like have Alexa make an announcement.

Hi again, I have answered this before. But you guys are bursting with ideas.
Webhooks are a simple way to connect a notification to anything. You simply set an adress we'll send the notification data to (like your server or a premade service like IFTT) and then you can route it to any service or app you like.
So it's a little more complicated, to set up, but you can hook it up to anything by yourself. Or wait until someone else makes something close enough for you to use.
Hope this helps

I did it: repetier server -> python ->mqtt -> openhab -> openhab rules -> openhabcloud -> alexa or google (no apple)

Sorry, through some microcontoller projects I built, I developed a passion for MQTT and want it implemented everywhere. It is so simple and universal level to let devices communicate.
But webhooks are also great and I can implement anything I want.
And thanks for active moderation
