Change Printer Type after hardware upgrade

Apologies if this has been asked and answered. I searched through topic titles as well as used the (not very useful) search tool, but was not able to find this issue.

I've upgraded my Mk3 to a Mk3s+, but can find no way to change the printer type in Prusa Connect. Is there a way to do this other than removing the printer and adding it again? I have not yet done that, so I'm hoping there's an easier way.

Thanks!

RE: Change Printer Type after hardware upgrade

Hi, unfortunately this is included only in the upcoming update. For now leave it as is, if it works. The old version registers everyones printers as an MK3. So after the update a lot of people will be prompted to re-register their printers. That'll be somewhere under settings in the local web interface.

Thank you. Now I know. 🙂

Hopefully the update will be OTA. 🙂

Sadly, nope, we changed configuration in the image, it's not worth creating an update thing able to modify a linux setup might create more problems. We hope we'll get the config mostly right and then we'll do OTA's through pip using a web interface for the gui like octo does.
