Your Choice of PLA Filament for Mini

I have been using Prusament for the past year and just love how consistent it has been. However, I'm in a crunch and need to get some filament in a day or two for my new projects for the holidays. (I know poor planning on my part) I have an order in with Prusa but it will not arrive in time for this project. So, Tell me what is your first choice, other than PRusament, for PLA. Thanks....

This very much depends on where you are in the world, I'm in Scotland so use 3dfilaprint to get most filament and there own brand stuff is of excellent quality, well wound, cardboard spools and as much variety as the likes of eSun offer including two tone PLA, ASA, Impact resistant PLA and PLA with all the effects like silk, satin & matte.

Overture, 3D Solutech, eSun, Sunlu, TTYT3D, Atomic, Protopasta, Hatchbox, etc etc etc. Hard to find a anything that's really bad these days until you go for super cheap Chinese garbage.

I've been using Hatchbox and Sunlu mainly. Just got my first shipment of Printed Solid Jessie a couple of days ago, and it's printing awesome.

For me; Atomic, Hatchbox, and Overture (in that order). Prusament is still #1, it's just a bit out of reach in the states sometimes.

Hi @MysDawg

As a good alternative to Prusament I use Filament PM also from Czech Rep. But don't know if they can ship in a day to US

RE: Your Choice of PLA Filament for Mini

I had problems with prusament PLA, but not PLA-blend (prusament), ASA (extrudr), TPU (sainsmart), PETG (prusament), so searched for working PLA for me.

I found polyMaker polyTerra (forest green). This worked so great and has a quite unique mat finish. I can definitly recommend that. I got this for 3djake, but it is also available on amazon (at least in germany).

I also tried 3djake ecoPLA (glitter brown). This is ok-ish. Sometimes it has adhearence problems. If it sticks to the bed, then it printed flawlesly (besides it tends to string). I recognized a bit of a more chemical odor, but it was not so disturbing.
