What max output current on USB?

Hello.

I do not find any info about output current on USB.

RPi zero 2 works but I connect it without camera.

Thanks.

I need to know current from Prusa Mini+ board.

Not from wikipedia.

I looked a lot at how to connect my Pi to the Mini Buddy board and power from there. Ultimately I decided to just grab a switched power cord. The printer is on a surge protection power strip anyway, so I decided the result wasn't worth the effort in eliminating one power cord--I just bundled the two together.

Depends where you look but something like USB2 100mA     usb3 500mA      and bugger all from most hubs.

This is not right, USB2 can supply 1000mA (1A) per port!

But this is from any PC.

I'd like to know how much current can supply Prusa Mini board.

For now I connect Prusa USB to RPi Zero 2 microUSB  connector as "power" and Prusa microUSB to RPi Zero 2 microUSB for serial communication.

All works, but I do not connect camera, camera required additional current and I do not  know if Prusa Mini board can supply 1A.

USB 2.0 defines a low-power device as a device that draws up to 100 mA from thebus and a high-power device as a device that draws up to 500 mA from the bus. Aself-powered device can draw up to 100 mA from the bus and as much power as isavailable from the device’s supply.

To ensure safe operation, I would use a separate power supply for pi and camera. The mini power supply is already weakly dimensioned with 160 watts.

RE: What max output current on USB?

I don't know anywhere it is officially specified what the mini can supply from its USB ports. However I have bridged the solder pad on the bottom of the board that allows the micro usb port on the mini to supply power and then used a male micro usb to male USB A cord to plug in a Pi 3 A+ with camera module and it's had no issues for well over a year I have had it setup that way. This is connected with only a single cord, I am back feeding power from the mini to the Pi 3 A+ though it's  USB A port instead of having a power supply attached to the normal micro usb power port on the Pi.
