RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I just got really excited. Checked my Eshop account and noticed that there was a change! A second invoice pdf was generated. Thought it was something to do with it getting ready to ship.
For some reason it is a duplicate of the original, just formatted differently....
weird
Actually just noticed that the new invoice is a pro forma invoice!
A pro forma invoice is a preliminary bill of sale sent to buyers in advance of a shipment or delivery of goods. The invoice will typically describe the purchased items and other important information such as the shipping weight and transport charges
Hopefully that means that it will ship soon!!!

I ordered 3-4 days after you - do you get an email with the invoice change, or do you need to just check it online?
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Mine has had 2 invoices for weeks, once was a Deposit form the other was a confirmation form. But my payment was made and received back in October so IDK what that's all about lol.

Congrats! good news!
I am 200 after you 🙂
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
My order window slipped another week. This is brutal. I should've ordered sooner. My current printer is down and from what it seems dead. Anyone got any advice on how to practice delayed gratification without chewing my fingernails off?

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Hello everybody!
This is my first post here. So my Mini shipped yesterday 343398. Hopefully it gets delivered on Monday. Ordered on the 14th.
Got the smooth PEI sheet, filament sensor and PLA azure blue.
I updated the spreadsheet if anyone is interested.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I ordered on Oct 12. The order shipped on Monday and arrived to me in Seattle USA Thursday. Box arrived just like Charles' photo with black plastic and the hexagon print packing tape wrapped around. Some loose parts sound inside but box looked perfect with no damage at all. There were no loose parts inside box, just some bags of parts that were making the noise. Printer went together mostly easily but with some difficulty getting the second t-nut to align (there's a stop, but it still wiggles around in the channel enough to make assembly not as easy as the videos show). Manual included spare addendum page that showed installation of foam feet (I think some were arriving with feet installed but smashed). Wizard failed - with message to check wiring. Discovered the heat block heater wires were smashed into the print head fan, making it unable to move. Pulled the wires away a bit, reset, and the wizard completed successfully. First layer calibration went fine. And first print (nut) went fine using textured plate with included green filament sample (actually print detached from bed on final few layers but upon inspection can see that I needed to lower z height much more so no fault there.
Observations:
It's a solid, well-made printer. Plastic parts are beefy. Z axis rods are larger and bearings are much longer than on the MK3. Bowden tube seems very bent when all the way to the right, but doesn't look to be an issue so far. Apparent with all of the packing foam pieces that keeping the hot end damage-free during shipping is an issue. It makes sense to me that they would include a section in the build manual for checking every part on the hot end to make sure it's correct (probe height, wiring, fans, etc.) Speaking of hot end, the part cooling fan is at the back and there is no shroud around the nozzle, just what looks to be an output slit on the back of the nozzle area. I think this would negatively impact overhangs and bridges on the front side of the prints. But it is very nice to be able to see the nozzle without a shroud covering it during printing. The filament sensor is a bit of an afterthought with a strange appendage attached to the feed tube. I don't know how this would be super-useful but if you plan to do very long overnight prints I guess it is a nice option. If you already have a MK3 I would say skip the MINI filament sensor option. I would also say to get both the smooth and textured sheets because it's nice to have the option. Currently, the firmware does not allow you to set up hardware changes like sheets or nozzles like on the current firmware of the MK3. So when you change sheets, you also have to change the Z-height to account for the differences. I am looking forward to firmware updates on this. Parts all seem to be F2 variant with at least one F1 part that I can find. I wonder why the MINI is not sold in kit form? It doesn't seem like it would be more difficult than a MK3 but maybe Prusa is trying to capture a market that doesn't want to deal with assembly. I am most definitely going to purchase more MINIs once the production is stable. For a farm, I wouldn't see any reason to have MK3s unless you need the volume.
Well, those are my thoughts so far. I'm sure I missed something but I thought it would be nice to read for people waiting for their own MINI to arrive. If you have another printer handy, I would say you should print a better spool holder - the one it comes with is sort of meh.
