I can 100% understand the situation they are in right now. I’ve been the guy on the other side of the phone for vendors/consumers explaining that our timeline fell behind or we are pushing out a launch. Even worse is when you have a recall, that’s awful to deal with from a stress point of view.
I also like to be an early adopter to new tech, recently I had a day 1 HTC Vive pre-order and enjoyed it a lot. But I enjoyed it within the time period I was quoted at purchase. You’re correct in that they should not have built out such a robust delivery schedule yet. It was pre-mature and I hope Prusa learns from this. But I don’t have high hopes on that because this isn’t the first time they’ve been in this situation. I don want to deal with the hassle of changing my order, that’s why I’m not going to do it until I’m home and able to work from my computer. So hopefully I do get shipping in the next few days.

I am surprised it is not listed as BackOrdered (that is how mine is listed) have they actually taken the money for your payment yet or is it pending shipment?

Mine says (bottom to top):
On backorder (waiting payment), payment accepted, invoice payment. If I open the invoice it says: amount already paid. I no longer have it on my credit card indeed. But it doesn't say "on backorder" anymore

Correct, if you have payment accepted then its just waiting to be shipped. Then if you click on the order number then you will see Payment Accepted , then on backorder.
So everything is good to go!

Hmmm,, it doesn't say 'backorder' anywhere that I can see. I did pay by 'invoice', so maybe it works a little differently? (but I have definitely paid the full amount).

I think that confirms what I suspected, they have slipped out by a week or so, which to be fair is within the bounds mentioned in the shipping table last update. Shipping of orders from the 13th will continue through to next week, then start on the 14th after that.
The claim that Minis are shipped in order seems to be not completely true, if there are orders from the 12th outstanding, and one from the 20th Oct has been delivered. I guess 2 out of 1000's is not many, but still makes me wonder how their algorithm really works.

Shipping algorithm? Aww. That's sweet that you think there's actual a rhyme or reason to the way they do things.
