RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Looking forward to my delivery in Febuary. I'll still talk to my EU friends even if I'm not allowed to.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I've seen that Prusa printers ship with a T-Shirt and Gummy Bears!! Assuming the Mini is the same, how do you let them know what size to ship? - I like company's that do that - we also ship a t-shirt with our product!
Gummy bears - yes, T Shirts - not that I have heard. Didn't get one with my mk3 kit last year.

It is possible in February the UK will still not be out of EU. And if it will, we will employ some undercover messengers to deliver papers with text written using milk (that you have to iron to reveal). Or being modern, 3D print drones and fly those over the Channel.

Some beta deliveries got a T-shirt to publicize the printer. You can see unboxing videos on Youtube.

Ah fair enough - but I'd be surprised if it continues with production shipments......

@texy
I am 100% sure it will not. Just to clarify, That was with the unboxing of the MK3 betas / demos. They came with three plates and a shirt.

Ahh ok. I’d only seen the unboxing and assumed all printers came with one ... but please tell me we still get the haribo though 🤣

Well we won't know until the first deliveries arrive on doorsteps.....
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
With the MK3, I think there were printers shipped that were demos or betas because they were posted very early on.

That was certainly the case with the early powder-coated textured spring steel sheets!

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Prusa was at the Orland Maker Faire last weekend, and they had a MINI there, and one of the Prusa folks had just gotten his MINI a day before leaving for the Faire.
And having seen the MINI in action, I’m very impressed. They made the printer low cost through clever engineering, and the quality is fantastic - they didn’t make it “cheap” at all. If anything, the color display, magnetic print bed, auto-calibration, and build quality all feel “premium” despite the low price. Combining everything in the extruder above the heat break into a single piece allows it to be very compact and light, the heater block is tiny, and of course it’s Bowden drive, which means that there’s little mass and no vibration at all in the MINI’s cantilevered design. And it was printing continuously for the whole Faire, no failures.
One pleasant surprise is that they said that it can print flexible filaments just fine. That is, even though it’s a Bowden printer, the entire path is enclosed so the filament can’t go astray. They don’t officially support Nylon, since the MINI can’t get as hot as the Mk3, but by the numbers Tallman Bridge should print fine (though they wouldn’t say so).
They said that first day orders should be shipping this month (November) and that orders placed now would arrive next February or so.

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I tried to add a t-shirt to my Mini order, but it bumped the shipping to the next level ( like almost double shipping cost) so I deleted it and will get one later. I would not have imagined that a t shirt would be that heavy to increase shipping costs, but I guess they have it dialed in for the weights or shipping costs.
If I would have known about the Orlando Makers Faire ahead of time, I would have made arrangements to show up and beg for a SWAG shirt there... 😀 😀

I ordered one. I own a MK3. I want a another printer while playing with and/or upgrading the MK3. I don't mind paying first.

Mini printer = Mini Haribo.
Definitely a great little printer 😉
Good quality prints, much the same as the Mk3, just a bit smaller.

Relax mate, the announcement blog says "The Original Prusa MINI will start shipping in just a few weeks – at the end of November" (emphasis mine). Even if they start shipping in the last few days of the month the first deliveries likely won't start arriving until the first few days of December.

The blog announcement for the Mini said that the first orders would ship in late November. So it will be a couple of weeks yet before the first orders ship.
This is from the blog:
The Original Prusa MINI will start shipping in just a few weeks – at the end of November. However, as expected there is already a bit of a queue, so orders are expected to be shipped in December (buffer of orders from the announcement weekend only) and January, February 2020 already, expect some lead times. New orders to be shipped in late February 2020.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
That is a recent update, the original posts said November, and while I can't quote them, I believe they said early November.
