Hi guys, I didn't add my order to the spread sheet but thought I should let you know I ordered on the 19th of October and today I received a "Shipped" email. 

Please help an other user who also bought on 19 oct what kind of options did you have (sensor: [yes|no] color: [orange|black], sheets [one|both])

Worked from home today, waiting for my Mini. Tracking showed it was On Hold. Called DHL and was told it missed it's flight, basically. (sigh)

My Mini arrived this morning. I’d love to tear the box open but decided to let it sit for a day or so. The virus doesn’t survive for long on surfaces so leaving it sit is my way of being careful. Not worried about the printer itself since it has been 4 days since it was boxed up but the package has been handled for the last few days on it’s journey to my door step.

take off the outer layer, throw it away and then wash your hands. You'll be fine. 

The outer layer of most viruses (including covid19) is a fatty lipid/protein mixture, it dissolves away quickly with soap. which is why washing your hands is so effective.

When your stuck at work and wondering how your print is coming along... 

Having the Wyze cam to spy on your printer during the day is nice.

Looks like the E3D V6 Sock is working too...

My mini was shipped last Thursday Apr 5, fedex claimed it would be delivered Friday (to Virginia).  Didn't believe it.  It did make it to the local fedex center by Friday though.  It was just delivered this morning (Monday the 9th).

Alas, my wife just left out of town this morning, for 2 weeks.  She is the primary printer user in the family.  I'm pretty much just the mechanic, keeping our mk3s running smoothly, though I do design something once in a while.

So, to wait till she returns to unbox so she can share in that excitement or unbox it now and have it set up, tested, and ready for her when she comes back.  Opinions? 🙂

I will second what clemens-m said, any decision you make will be the wrong one, lol

Best bet when you speak to her I'd let her know the Mini arrived and  would she...

A) Like to be part of the un-boxing and build

or...

B) Would she like it all assembled and extensively tested when she arrives home.

You can't go wrong that way.

If she picks B then its game on for thoroughly testing that bad boy...and working out any bugs before she gets back. I mean you're just looking out for her right!

So...  My last print came out perfect...

And this is, sort of, what I was hoping to have when I was done...

Except without the terrible overhang issues where I didn't put support...

So I need to re-print the Beholder...  I've split it into two parts and added proper support this time...

And I started my next part with some new Prusa Galaxy Black...

The first layer went down like butter... It's so beautiful it might get a NSFW rating...

But then my second layer started doing crazy stuff, and it started the 3rd layer and I cancelled it...

Anyone have any idea what's going wrong here?

Ok, I figured it out...

I started printing something small just to test first and second layer stuff...

Once again, the first layer is dead sexy....

Then the second layer started ripping up the print...

I dialed the speed down to 50%...  and it quit tearing up the print...

By the third layer...  staying at 50% speed...  it had ironed out the flaw...  

I'll keep an eye on it and try bringing the speed back up once it gets to infill layers.

I don´t think it is worth printing those two parts, changes on these two parts are from my point of view only small optimizations.

I have not yet received my printer, do the parts come from the factory or are they always optional for printing?
