RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
Hi guys,
a batch of fixes will be uploaded today. The forum response might be slightly slower since we need to dig in the database.

RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
please tell me how can I buy Prusa 3D printer using 2.85 mm filament, thanks !
RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
Hi Phamthikimchihoh
the Prusa Mk0 printer was a 2.85 / 3mm printer years ago, before I started printing, I believe it used a 'Wade style geared extruder '
that was Quickly updater with a 1.75mm upgrade, and the release of a Mk1 printer, which was my entry point...
I presume you have a particular reason to request a larger filament printer,
are you aware of some draw backs with the larger filament?
I considered the larger filament size to capitalise on what appeared to be lower cost filament, online, but after reading articles like this
I decided to go with 1.75mm filament.
I have raised this thread to Prusa's attention for you, and hope that you will get a response soon!
regards Joan

Ah, thank you so much #joantabb. Actually because now I am a researcher and my team is developing new material that is extremely stretchable(POE-based). That is the reason why I want to use 2.85 mm filament for easier loading filament.
RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
I have just had a response from Prusa,
there is no chance of getting a prusa in 2.85mm from the factory
2.85mm extruders were last used on the Mk0 in 2015. even the prusa print farm uses 1.75mm filament now.
you may be able to fit a 2.85/ 3mm extruder from Thingiverse
Dyze design are developing a 2.85mm extruder https://dyzedesign.com/typhoon-extruder/
E3d offer a 3mm Titan extruder, and I believe adaptors are available for the prusa
Bondtech also offer a 3mm extruder
you ould need to adjust the prusa firmware to use these items

I'm not sure if it's been asked yet but can we get a sort topics by most views/replies? I feel this would be a better representation of an actual forum as it gives us the ability to easily find the best posts about prints, troubleshooting, and advice.
Why can't I send a meassage in the forum
I login and can see my profile, but I can't send a message... I always get..

I don't know the software that is used here (and I have a few issues with it as well), but I think your problem might be down to some sort of permission to keep spammers from making an account and spamming the users through direct messaging. I do know the forum has new-user lockouts for other activities that can be abused by spammers. Hang around the forums, reply to some people and get your status up a bit. I don't know how long it will take, but eventually sending private messages should be opened up for you.

It appears our forum needs a sticky guideline or two. Suggested:

NEVER!
As for first posts, new users need to be approved by a moderator. It sometimes takes a while since the moderators are also volunteer co-users, just like the rest of us.
New users need to be aware this is a peer to peer forum, and not an official Prusa support site. And yes, Prusa should add an easily accessible forum etiquette page that explains some of this (I just did a fair search and found no such pages - even though I am pretty sure there was a page for the old forum).

Thanks for the post. Got it
RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
Well - seems the default image post method has finally been set to Link to Media file; but n the process we lost the ability to manage subsequent insertions: No longer can we control the inserted image size - so posting thumbnails is not possible. We get whatever the system decides.
RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
You guys really broke the image interface ... I almost prefer the way it was broken before. At least the old version I could change the image size, link, and correct image posting problems while I was editing the post. Now, when I insert an image I am stuck with a preview size that I can no longer control. And, all preview thumbnails too large, most are being clipped and useless until you click on them. And the worst part: you can't change how an image is inserted after the fact. So all of my properly sized and formatted images are posts larger than life, and arbitrarily clipped. Too funny. You guys really need to try to use the tools you are developing before making changes.

Can we have the default subscribe to threads turned off!, my mail box is being filled!.
Normal people believe that if it ainât broke, donât fix it. Engineers believe that if it ainât broke, it doesnât have enough features yet.

Either the forum (or my browser) broke tonight, or someone hacked something... see this screenshot:

Nah this bug has been around since the incredibly bad idea to switch to WP was implemented. Best I can tell that happens when a Mod removes a message.
RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!
I really am starting to hate the new "fixes" to the image UI. Not only do I now have to add multiple copies of the same image just to get the "correct" insertable size because once an image is inserted that scale becomes the ONLY scale you can insert with, images that are NOT posted never show up in the Unattached filter; and even if they do accidentally show up, we still can't delete unused images from our list.
