@area51

If you work with Octoprint, you can install the plugin "bed visualizer". Otherwise, you can read the mesh points via Pronterface and let visualize the results.

get meshpoints on the Mini (Pronterface):

G28 W ; home all without mesh bed level

G29 ; mesh bed leveling

G81 ; check mesh leveling results (meshpoints for visualizer)

@gordon-w

Thanks - makes sense. That also explains why I couldn't find the part referenced in the assembly instructions either

Thank you.
I will try the Pronterface method, if not success full then the RPI 4 - that could be fun to try.

I see that others have used silicone and self made TPU washers under the bed mounting screws to mechanical level the bed. I have some tiny rubber O-rings that could be used.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

I would check it first without installing silicone buffers. You can always install them afterwards. Instructions for the installation of silicone buffers, springs or nylocks can be found on the net.

I don't know what's the SPINDA's detection range, but it won't be more than few tens of millimeters. I think Prusa uses it to detect the work sheet (certain singnal strenght received -> certain distance from the sheet), once this zero-level has been reached, steppers take care of the rest. N-steps -> n-mm up/down. After all, stepper motors are very reliable this way unless overly stressed (badly designed for the use). Furthermore, those Trinamic drivers are supposedly doing their magic and look watch the stepper motors for doing their job. Likely buddy board will get some kind of an alarm if Trinamic reports that stepper has fallen our of sync.

@karl-herbert

I plan to check the bed before changing the MINDA with SuperPinda, that will reveal if I need to install O-rings/silicone adjustment.
