Report From A Happy Mini+ Owner!

It's day two of owning a Mini+ and so far I am very happy! I bought the Semi-assembled version and it was a joy to put together. During the initial setup the only "challenge" was adjusting the Z-axis in order to get that first layer to print properly. But after that the finished prints has been delivered with a consistently high quality. I have been away from 3D-printing for awhile. My first printer was an Ultimaker. Although I made a lot of stuff with it, there was some issues that frustrated me imensely. When shopping for a printer this time I first had my eyes on a Creality Ender-3 S1 Pro. But although chinese products have a lot of desirable features, I was hesistant. Especially after watching a lot of reviews on YouTube. Then I discovered Prusa! And the stuff I read about them and their printers won me over. The thought of buying a printer developed and produced in europe made so much more sense. And the wisdom and love behind their products really shows. When I had the Ultimaker the most annoying thing was the prosess of leveling the printbed in order to get good results. The "old" prosess of adjusting the distance of the Z-axis with a sheet of paper and using the thunbscrews under the printbed was a hassle. So when I discovered that the Mini+ had no thumbwheels but electronic sensors instead I sighed in relief. And the software driving the Mini+ is well thought out, easy to use and have all the features I will ever need. I am mainly interested in inventing my own stuff. I start with Fusion 360 and then slice the output with either Simplify3d (much better at creating supports when I need it) or PrusaSlicer which is, in my opinion, the best of the free slicers. I am currently printing using PLA but since the Mini+ can work with higher temperatures I will definitely try out other types of filament as well. So I am happy. I have a printer that cost me a fourth of what the Ultimaker costed, with better features and in my opinion superior printquality. So what is there not to like? I am glad I took the plunge and bought a Prusa Mini+. And I am looking forward to all the exciting things I am going to invent and make in the future. Happy Printing!

RE:

Agree with you, and I can certify that I'm also a Happy Mini+ Owner!

The Prusa Mini+ is almost a one-touch printer, it does its work reliable and till now almost without any problem. (problems I encountered were user caused problems (My fault))

Greetings from the Galilee.
