Ran into two different problems on two Mini+s

Last night, I was trying to run some prints for my new Enclosures - with two MK3S off line (disassembled for new Enclosure) and decided to use my two Minis.

I updated Mini+ firmware to 4.4.1 and ran test on both - they both passed with flying color. I even printed one for over 2 hours with no problem. But...

Printer #1: Ran into some cable wire connected to extruder - somehow it got strangled as the cable got stuck on top of the Z motor. Now, it's showing some wiring error - I haven't take a close look/pinpoint the damage or disconnect yet. Does it happened often or is there any other way to prevent from getting strangled again?

Printer #2: For some reason, there's some problem with heating bed. It was working last night, I had to stop the print due to messed up print. And then in the morning it's error. Too cold? It's about 50 degree Fahrenheit (or 10 Celsius) in here, is it the problem?

Before those issues - I had zero problem with my two Mini+s and performed so flawless till last night/today.

#1: Never heard of this before, so I'd say pretty confidently, no, it doesn't happen often. But it sure shows that attention to proper wire routing is important. Might be worth comparing it to your other printer.

#2: Not speaking from experience because I'm blessed with a workshop that is 69 degrees all year round but sure, low temperature can be an issue. You didn't say what error you're seeing though.

Hello, @fuchsr

Printer #2 bed heat issue - I just went in the printer room to take picture of error. I took the picture the same way I saw and then I decided to try take the steel off and run PETG temp and it works with no problem. And then I put the steel back on and it did not show any error. Weird.

Here's printer #1 error - what should I look for? Possible plugs pulled out or bent somewhere? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. As soon as I pinpoint any issue, I can order new parts (I hope not!).

Update:

Printer #1 - I took a close look at cables that connect between extruder and board. I loosen the fan spacer clip (that holds cable on extruder) and found nothing wrong with cables. And then ran it, no error came up. I ran few self tests and it found no error. So, I guess loosen the cables fixed the problem.

Printer #2 - I have started removing the sheet plate before start my Mini to allow it heat up and then place it on it. No problem so far.

*Shrug*

Hey, it's 3D printing. Closer to Black Magic than science...
