Prusa mini stealth mode?
When can I expect a firmware update to include stealth mode for the Original Prusa Mini? I expected it to come with it in firmware but it seems that it is not part of it, and I was not able to find anything online. Can someone help me out? I would love to hear an expected release date or at least a confirmation that Prusa is working on it.
RE: Prusa mini stealth mode?
If I am not wrong about it.
I believe you have to set it in the Prusa slicer somewhere.
But someone may correct me if I am wrong.
RE: Prusa mini stealth mode?
for the ignorant among us (me), what is stealth mode, why do I want it and what does it do? 😎

I should make a lot less noise on the stepper motors driving your axles and extruder.
Old style drivers tend to make a very annoying high pitch sound when they ar sent to work/rotate.
Newer style drivers ar constructed differently to eliminate this "noise"
As far as I know the mini has those drivers.
Standard they are as good as noise free, read: stealthy
In stealth mode they are just that bit quieter.

Never thought about it that way, but.....
With a little mind bending that could be true!

Is that going to actually change anything? It says toggle if the firmware supports stealth mode, but I haven't heard anything about it being supported by the mini. I'll run a print with it and see if there is a difference.
RE: Prusa mini stealth mode?
Ok, I have tried enabling the setting and as I thought might happen, nothing changed. All it did was give me an estimate of how long it would take in the slicer, but nothing changed about the file sliced at all. No googling turns up anything, and I might contact prusa support to see what they say. I will update this post to see what I find.
RE: Prusa mini stealth mode?
I don't own a Mini, but I loaded the Mini printer profile, enabled the Printer Settings->General->Firmware-Supports stealth mode option and compared Printer Settings->Machine limits and don't see any differences. On the Mk3, they are very different. I wouldn't expect specifying stealth mode in the slicer to make any difference on the Mini unless there's a settings option on the printer itself.

RE: Prusa mini stealth mode?
Update: Stealth mode is not currently supported but is expected to be in in a later firmware. No date estimate. All that button does is show how long it would take if it were to have stealth mode.
RISPONDI: Prusa mini stealth mode?
BUMP! Any new news? Its been a while and I see no stealth mode
RE: Prusa mini stealth mode?
There will be no "Stealth mode" (name given to the StealthChop function activated on the MK3S) on the mini.
Because the StealthChop mode is already implemented and activated from the beginning in the Mini (on all axes except the E).
The "Stealth Mode" option in PrusaSlicer is a legacy from the MK3S.
