Prusa Mini Print Problems on the front side of the print.
I have had my Prusa Mini for around 2 years now and all the sudden I am having some when printing objects. Let's say I am printing a box with no top. The sides and the back of the box wall are sturdy as can be, but the front wall of the box looks decent but is not sturdy at all its flimsy like rubber. For the life of me I can't figure out what would make this happen. The other issue that I seem to have noticed is when you start a print, and it runs a line of filament down the front of the bed but it completely misses the bed and lays the line in front of the bed missing it completely. Why would it do that, I don't get it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
RE: Prusa Mini Print Problems on the front side of the print.
Ok, when I got home from work last night, I opened the manual for the mini and went through and squared everything, I noticed the X-Z Axis assembly had slid towards the front just enough to run the filament test line in the beginning of a print to miss the bed, so I got that fixed. Then I squared the bed with the X-Z axis with a straight edge and went around the tightened up all the screws. I was confident that fixed the issue, so I printed a box and when I checked it when it was done, the front side of the box was still messed up. The other 3 sides where fine and stiff. But the front side of the box was like rubbery, and you could easily move it back and forth with your finger. Tonight, I will change the nozzle head and try again. I also did recalibrate the bed and it is laying down the plastic perfect for the layers. So, the only thing I can think of is maybe the nozzle is clogging or something.
Rotate the box on the bed and reprint - if the problem rotates with the part it is likely to be a design issue so save your project as a .3mf file
Files > Save Project as
Zip the .3mf and post it here. It will contain both your part and your settings for us to diagnose.
If the problem remains in the same place relative to the printer then it's still a hardware issue.
Cheerio,
