Mini jamming during print - Changing PTFE tube again - Is there a permanent fix?
After a few weeks, my Mini started to jam during printing.. I replaced the PTFE tube in the hotend, and its been fine since for many 100s of hours printing.
But this week the problems have returned.. It started with problems on some types of filament, but as the week has progressed I am getting more and more problems to a point where I can't print more than a few layers before a jam.
So I am going to replace the PTFE tube again and am pretty sure this will fix it..
But what is the long term fix? Do we just have to accept that we have to change the PTFE tube every few months? Or is there a way to fix it once and for all?
I read the a Bontech Dual Drive upgrade is the way to go... But this a bit drastic for me.... Are there any other optons?

Mine too. Printed perfectly for a few days and now jams half way through a print everytime. Also looking for a permanent fix!

Maybe just changing the heat-break will help Bondtech Stainless Steel Heat-break for Prusa Mini?
I did both, the heat-break and extruder update and haven't had any jams since then.

I did both, the heat-break and extruder update and haven't had any jams since then.
I had all the problems as most of every one here, with the tube being correct and shrinking over time. I swapped to the Bondtech and had the SAME issue happen even with their shorter tube. I took the prusa one and cut it a bit longer than the bondtech one and used it with my bondtech heatbreak and seemed to have eliminate the problem for now. I think this is a severe flaw in the hot end design.

I‘m a bit mad about Prusa bringing out a flawed design, but now my Mini is working like a charm... (after 100+€ upgrades).

@christian-d19, after both the bondtech heatbreak and extruder, how have they been working for you for 3+ months? Any more issues or has it been perfect since the upgrades?

After much tedious mucking about, support suggested that I put some thermal paste onto the heatbreak. I also made sure that my extruder was set where it should be and was pushed far enough up. With these two things done, so far, fingers crossed, it’s working fine. I don’t know whether this will help anyone else but I hope it does. 😎

Since the upgrade I‘d never had problems again...
Even filament change etc. hasn‘t been a problem ever since.

I tried the Bondtech heatbreak, but had similar extrusion issues. I think the Mini's cooling fan + heatsink is not sufficient, regardless of heatbreak. My room temps have been around 30 deg C this summer, so maybe that is a factor.
I've now given up with the Mini hotend altogether, and installed an E3D v6 hotend. Time will tell if it is a "permanent" fix, but the v6 is pretty well proven kit. An additional benefit is I now have a properly fitting sock!

@jweaver just wondering if you found a permanent solution for this issue or you keep replacing PTFE tube when the issue occurs?

My mini was giving me fits for a long time and I had jamming problems and clicking on prints about an hour in... I checked the PTFE tube, it was correct length. what i ended up doing was loosening the feeder grub screw, seemed to be too tight from the factory... seems to work ok since for the time being
Maybe not a fix of everything, but something to check as well, I think a lot of the feeder grub screws were too tight from the factory.
Strange women, laying in ponds, distributing swords, is hardly a basis for a system of governance!

Edit for clarity: the bowden feeder screw where the filament enters the printer. where the little trapdoor is. that was too tight and causing filament scraps to clog everything up because it was too tight from the factory
