Mini+ Hotend Thermistor Issue

Hi All,

I recently had an issue with the blockage on my Mini plus. I have changed the nozzle over, I have cleaned out the heat brake and also put in spare new PTFE tube, but now it prints but there is excessive oozing  when the hot end is at temp as well as excessive stringing where before the block it was absolutely fine. No setting on the printer has changed and I am printing the same file and the same PLA roll. It is almost like it is printing a lot hotter than the thermistor says (PLA 215c) . I don't have a multimeter to check the thermistor, so  my question is can a faulty thermistor give inaccurate readings?

I have some spare Capricorn PTFE tube that I might cut (and chamfer) to be a bit longer than the standard PTFE tube in the hot end as I know this can be an issue to.

Thanks

RE: Mini+ Hotend Thermistor Issue

Honestly sounds like the nozzle wasn’t seated correctly.

I’d review that, and if possible the revo micro is a great upgrade for this exact reason. Just make sure when you order you specifically ask for the blue thermosister cable as that one is the new and does not have issues like the white one.
