UPDATE
I've fitted the fan, done all the wiring and the lights and Fan work fine
As can be seen, the Mini fits fine with the filament spool inside.
There is about 75mm clearance above the Z axis, so plenty of room under the Mini for a 40mm pavoir for added weight
The only issue i have noted so far is space to access the USB port, its a bit fiddly with the filament spool inside too.
A remote USB port would work, and also i'm going to try to mount the spool on the top of the cabinet, which will free up plenty of space.

Maybe digging up an old thread but I'm awaiting the mini as well and came across your example @sfbrain which is pretty much exactly up my street how I would want something. Are you able to share the extra printed bits you created for the (the extractor, the filament bracket and what is the big bracket with the shiny light up front, looks interesting :P)? Would greatly help in my pursuit of the perfect enclosure! 😀

How much power does the mini pull?... Im very surprised its so high... I don't have min yet but my Monoprice Mini at full tilt is only pulling about 55-58 W during printing. Of course it depends on what temps you set, I only print PLA and my hottend is at 200 and bed at 50 so im not pulling the full capacity of the printer. But im just interested in what the mini does use. I was hoping for something more efficient than my Monoprice, I was thinking it was not bad its less than a old 60w lightbulb for a few hours during print.
Just surprised a newer machine could be pulling more than my old Machine

So my Mini arrived last week but before it had arrived i took the advice from this thread to build a 44cm Cube.. risky but..
the outcome works very well!
The cube has space for the printer and spool holder.
How did you attach things at the corners and do the acrylic inserts?
I'm looking on amazon and deciding what pieces I need to order.

I used a IKEA Platsa. It measures 60x55x120. I basically divided it in 4 areas. The upper half houses the Mini, the lower half is divided in halves itself and stores the powerbrick and all the tools and filament. You need to ventilate it somehow because when printig PETG mine would easily exceed 40°C.

Today I got my TUKKARI TS Acrylic DIY Kit for the mini+ (diy-kit-prusa-mini).
You get the acrylic plates and the screws/nuts/magnets, the other parts you have to print on your own.
Very good qualitity and everthing fits perfect.
I'm very pleased.
The only thing from IKEA is the table underneath (slightly lowered because of the sloping roof above).

Hi Guys
As i said, i have experimented with a system of having the spool outide my LACK enclosure, on the top.
This is the part i printed, along with 2 T-Nuts to mount it.
This pic above shows it mounted and the X-carrage at the top of the Z-Axis.
Having a reasonable length of PTFE tube between the printed arm and the filament sensor ensures little resistance from the filament and no chance of the filament kinking.
In the enclosure
Fits well and now it's easy to reach the USB port.
The nice thing about this mod is that it is very simple to revert back to the original system for feeding the filament

I just got a Prusa Mini+ and am mounting the ikea lack enclosure. I have the same problem that you had with the position of the PTFE tube to position it from above. Could you send me the STL or GCODE of the piece that is mounted at the top of the Z-Axis where you mount the PFTE tube?

I dont get why people bother with printing cutting etc lqck enclosures while IKEA sells cheap and really nice Platsa system that are perfect for printer.
Cost is few euro more in Total
Thank you for the input. I'm looking for a new enclosure for my mini (so that I can later fit in an MK3). Could you be so kind and share which parts you used? For "Platsa" I find over 500 variations and I coudln't find a setup like yours. Thank you in advance 🙂
About the lack enclosure:
- have a 2cm piece of foam and on it a 2cm conrete tile. With this solution, I have near zero vibration.
- You can also stabilize the lack-legs with hinges that are made for 90degree angles.
- I have a easy self-made active coal and hepa filter. There are many designs online available 🙂
- I used some tape around the enclosure to make it more or less airtight so only from the front can air get in to the enclosure. Later I will also add a filter system that only filtered air get's inside the enclosure
- I drilled a hole on top of the enclosure and now a TPFE tube is feeding the filament to the Mini

No glass enclosure, but Prusa MINI+ and OctoPi Pi3A+ with everything fit inside.
The maximal height was a problem because of big concrete below printer, above old gym mat.
The 3Dprinted Lack table height extensions solved the problem.
