Mid-print Layer Issue

I'm running in a a problem mid-print. I was about two thirds of the way through printing the "Benchy" model and the nozzle started dragging around on the top layer:

Here is what the base layer looked like:

This also happened on the last print that I tried, and the benchy print had been going pretty well prior to this.

I'm new to 3d printing and have been struggling to get the first layer/z calibration set correctly. I re-ran this prior to starting the print and it looked a lot better than it has in the past. Have I now set it too low and if not, why did I only experience an issue so far in to the print?

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Thank you for showing us the underside.

Your first later Z calibration is a little too low and yet you are losing adhesion at the stem and the port quarter.  This suggests your print sheet is contaminated, probably with fingerprints.  Clean it thoroughly, there are plenty of threads here, and try again.

Cheerio,

Thanks, I will tweak the calibration and clean the sheet more thoroughly and try again in that case!
