Max print speed

Hi all!

My question is about print speed. Here speed means "to reduce printing time as much as possible with acceptable quality". For the example we will talk about regular benchy model. And it's about stock variant of prusa, no big upgrates.

There is a couple(probably much more) videos about speed printing. As example I take "17min speed benchy on prusa mini..." on youtube. It's printing with 250mm/s and 9k acceleration.

Question 1: Is it safe for construction such a big speed(I guess it's no ok to exceed machine limits in Prusa slicer)? If not - what max speed could be taken as work ?

Question 2: I'm trying to repeat for tests this print(17 mins), but the best result I can get - 38 mins. From some point params increasing just does nothing. I definitely miss something. Is there any manual about speed? Maybe someone can share the project with speed benchy ?

RE: Max print speed

The printers used in the YT movies are all equipped with klipper firmware,

which is probably why you can't get those high speeds with the prusa firmware.

RE: Max print speed

At high printing speeds and accelerations, strong vibrations can occur, which can generally be compensated by "input shaping". The Prusa Mini does not have input shaping, which is why the print results are probably rather moderate at higher speeds.
