Loud "seeking" noise when print head moves fast/longer distances
When the print head moves fast/longer distances it makes this annoying, louder sound:
(See 10s into the video).
The printer is standing on a concrete paver on top of a thick piece of foam on the floor so it shouldn't be a resonance issue. Is this normal?
RE: Loud "seeking" noise when print head moves fast/longer distances
It's not normal, I had similar sound on X axis when belt was rubbing onto something at end of X axis, there were even small black shavings falling from there. I re-printed X end and changed idler just to be sure. You may want to check if something similar does not happen on your Y axis if this happens. I do not know how long you have this printer and how much you printed, maybe small maintenance would not hurt too (re-tighten screws, tighten belts, clean rods, add a bit of lube etc.

Mine also does the same, mine is a few weeks old. I cant seem to stop it. I did reduce it with rubber isolation feet.

RE: Loud "seeking" noise when print head moves fast/longer distances
This might be the Y axis belt is too tight. 🤔 I think I had something similar after I had reassembled my Mini for some reason.
RE: Loud "seeking" noise when print head moves fast/longer distances
I have this too. I believe it is caused by a resonance in the right side bearing of the Y-carriage. Does it mostly happen when the carriage is in the middle and not so much on the far and near sides?
I am currently testing changing the bearings to igus drylin. First tests are promising.

Its not a fix but it could help.
reduce speed to 60 % I discovered this sound while I tried to do a print during night and changing speed helped me to sleep (yes I got my printer in my room)
