Is it possible to output debug text to the screen during printing?
I want to print a sign using different color filament for the text than the rest of the sign. I'll probably end up having to monitor the print and pause the print when it starts on the text then manually switching the filament. However, I'd like to know if it's possible to add "debug text" to the gcode where the "debug text" is sent to the display. That would allow me to narrow down where in the gcode it's about to start printing the text and I would then insert an auto pause in the gcode.
RE: Is it possible to output debug text to the screen during printing?
It is possible to insert gcode messages but there is a better option, or two.
After first slicing the print but before saving you have the option to insert filament change pauses; slide the layer view at the right and then click the + sign. When you reslice and save, the printer will pause at that layer and let you change filament.
