i3 MK3S Hotend Question: Buying A i3 MK3S And Building It As A i3 MK3...Can It Be Done?
So, just like everyone else on the planet, I'm going to buy a i3 MK3S this weekend with the free shipping offer. This will be my second Prusa printer. My first i3 MK3 has performed flawlessly with 3979 hours on the meter in less than a year of operation. However I have absolutely no intention of ever buying the MMU due to the nature of printing that I do. I've read quite a few posts here about jams caused by a step in the bore of the MK3S's hotend that has something to do with the MMU. So...
Q1: Will the hotend for the MK3 sold in the Prusa on-line store work in the extruder housing of the MK3S? (Prusa says no on their page but the hotend seen in photos visually looks the same to me.)
Q2: If Prusa's warning is correct is there a step-less hotend that'll fit in, and work with, the MK3S extruder housing?
Q3: Is this something I even really need to worry about? I'd rather build the printer from the start with a step-less hotend bore rather than tearing it apart later to do the job.
