Guide: How to downgrade your Prusa Mini firmware
The Prusa Mini will receive frequent firmware updates which may feature improvements, bug fixes, or general polish. However, if you have problems (or believe you have problems) with any upgrade, you may want to downgrade to an older firmware version.
Even though downgrading your firmware is possible, be aware that not all settings may correctly transfer when you downgrade. Because of this, it is good practice to factory reset after a downgrade.
1. Download the firmware of your choice from https://www.prusa3d.com/drivers/firmware-changelog/#mini
2. Place the firmware (named as downloaded) onto a USB stick, with no other firmware files on that stick. Insert into printer.
3. Switch the power to the printer ON. You will see the "Prusa Mini Bootloader 1.0" screen. Press the click wheel twice, and you should see a "New Firmware Available" screen, with the firmware on the flash drive selected. Press "Flash."
4. Once flashing is complete, go to Settings, and choose Factory Reset. Recalibrate and adjust your settings as you please.
You can also use this to re-install any firmware of your choice. Even if you have the same firmware on your USB stick as currently installed, it will pop up with "New Firmware Available," and you can re-flash the same firmware (even though I do not know why you would want to do this).
RE: Guide: How to downgrade your Prusa Mini firmware
Is it possible to downgrade from 6.0.2 to 4.3.2?
https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/releases/tag/v4.3.2
I want to run PID tune, get the values for the Revo Micro heater core and go back to 6.0.2, and don't break the printer in the process 🤣
The PID tune capability was removed in 4.3.3 version
Thanks!
