Cleaning up print plate

I have some think filament stuck to the print plate. What's the best way to clean it? Can I use a metal scraper? This is a Mini+

If that would happen to me, I would probably use some hard plastic scraper (plastic ruler, credit card, etc.). I know many use metal scraper, but in my eyes, that just calls for damaging coating on sheet -maybe I'm just paranoid 🙂

I often will cure this issue by printing a very thing layered print that covers the area of the plate that is stuck.  I have done a 180 x 180 x 1/2 mm print to pull it off in the past.  I try to use the same type of filament or one that prints hotter.

Just be careful because you may have overadhesion.  If you have over adhesion, you might be printing with too low of a Z or need a release agent with that filament.

RE: Cleaning up print plate

I've found clear packing tape works good to pull up filament from the plate when needing to cancel a print just a few layers in. That way you aren't using a scraper that might damage the surface. Another option is to just print something on top of the area with the filament stuck, it might come off with the piece
