No need to keep it pinned when the final version is released, version 4.0.5.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Ok, total newb question but how do I access the Local Connect feature. Have loaded the firmware already in my Mini but being that I'm very new to the Prusa world I'm still figuring things out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get the IP address of the printer, enter it into a web browser in the same network and you will see the site.

Pause (M601) does not work at all. Change Filament (M600) does work. I checked the gcode file with editor and ist is set, but the firmware 4.0.5 does ignore it. As i said, change filament does work.

Why can i not send gcode over ethernet to the printer? On my SL1 this is a pretty nice feature and the buddy board sure is capable of that. It is annoying to walk everytime from the office to the garage with a USB-Stick.

Network printing isn't available yet, but it will be in the future, probably in the next update or two

But how about the pause print command?

It is ignored.

@lichtjaeger

How can I find the IP? Do I have to dig it out of my network router or will the printer tell me? I haven't found and IP setup in the printer. I do have it connected to my network via cable.

@puetz

Insert the Ethernet cable in the Mine, turn on, go to Settings -> Lan Settings. Here is the current IP address.

It's a good idea to set up a static IP for the printer on your router. Look at the LAN settings on the printer and get the MAC address. Go into your router settings and set it up to always assign a specific IP to that MAC address. How to do that varies per router, but on DD-WRT it is in the Services tab > Static Leases section. On a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter it's in the Services > DHCP Server  > Actions > Configure Static Map section.

That way, the printer still gets it's IP via DHCP so you can move it and plug it in somewhere else, but if it is on your LAN, it always gets the same IP. I find it convenient to configure that all in one place, on the router.

Regards,

Mark

@marklgoldberg

You can also set up the static address using the lan_settings.ini file on the printer, it is a little easier this way 😉 for less tech-savvy people, that is!
