Single Perimeter printing (RC-Model, LW-PLA): Holes and gaps

Hello, being pretty new to 3d printing I am trying to print the Eclipson Model A free trainer, see Eclipson Website . I am using LW-PLA from eSun und using LW-PLA_Config_Bundle as a basis.

To start with I selected the outer end of the wings and find two artifacts that I was not able to rectify.

Holes

At the front edge of the the perimeter changes from layer to layer leaving open holes.

Using adaptive layer height seems to help a bit. Also setting the top layer count to 1 but this option will also increase weight. Does anyone have other suggestions?

Gap in inner support structure

Using a single perimeter layer seems to force the the slicer to not follow the outline in one loop but to turn where the model defines in inner connection between top and bottom of the wing to support the stability. Side effect is that a yawning gap.

Any idea to rectify?

RE: Single Perimeter printing (RC-Model, LW-PLA): Holes and gaps

You haven't attached a project file for people to look at your settings and diagnose things.  Which makes it difficult to know for sure.

The website you linked to recommends using other slicers for a start so you may be best following their recommendations if you want an easy life.  After all they know their model.  They will have tweaked its design for their experience of printer/slicer/filament combinations they have used.

I take it you have read their FAQ and followed its instructions regarding general other settings such as disabling linear advance ?  (something we could check if we had a copy of your saved project).  Also what slicing mode are you using Regular or Even-odd ?

Single perimeters on curved surfaces and gaps like shown in the slice are often a case when printing things in vase mode.  With those a common thing is to change the extrusion width to a higher value, such that you extrude say 0.6mm from a 0.4mm nozzle.  There are still limits to this and it working with single perimeters though.

Anyway save your project using File-Save project as from PS and then ZIP it up and attach it to a reply.  That way people can see what you have been using.

RE:

Thanks for your answer Neophyl, find my latest project file attached: EclipsonModelA.

As I am brand new in the topic I have played around a lot so this file is not matching identically with the configs used above. Still the issues are coming up more less in all configs.

To be honest I tried to use the g-code distributed by Eclipson (this was recommended by many posts) but as it is fairly old it can't be used with my mk4s. I also installed Cura but got a little but frustrated as it is all different from Prusa slicer. Also it does support Prusa printers only up to mk3s. And from Eclipson there are some settings recommended but the list is far from being complete so even if I used Cura it is doubtfull I get their results.
