Modify Support setting for specific layers

Hello dear Prusa community!

I am trying to print a part the requires support. In the settings [Support material]; [Top contact Z distance], if I keep the value to 0.2mm, there is warping in the supported section near the bed (red frame in picture). If I change the value to 0.1mm, there is no warping but the support material in the top section (blue frame in picture) is very difficult to remove.

So I'm wondering, is there a way to modify the [Top contact Z distance] for certain layer heights by adding a custom gcode (like you would do for a temperature change for a temperature tower, for example)?

Thank you!

Vincent

As far as I know support settings are applied globally and there's no way to adjust them with height range modifiers.

I'd recommend designing your own supports in cad.  Then you can make them however you want. If you make them separate parts you can also apply different properties to them in the slicer.

I almost exclusively do this as the auto generated supports are usually really generic.

Interesting idea! I'll give it a go if there is no other way. Thanks!
